About London Paddington Station
Paddington railway station, more popularly referred to as London Paddington, is a central London railway terminus and London Underground station complex, in the Paddington area of London, the largest metropolitan area and the most visited city in the United Kingdom. London has been a major settlement for 2 millenniums and its history spans to the Roman times, when it was known as Londinium. It is a leading global city and the world's largest financial centre alongside New York, having the largest city GDP in Europe and housing the headquarters of more than 100 of Europe's 500 largest companies.
London is also one of the most visited cities in the world. It is a mix of diverse peoples, cultures and religions, and more than 300 languages are spoken within its boundaries. Among its most popular places of interest, there is Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch, Kenwood House, home to one of the most magnificently decorated libraries in the world, as well as the Iveagh Bequest, a collection of exquisite paintings by Rembrant, Vermeer, Turner, Reynolds and Gainsborough, London Eye, and, of course, the Tower of London.
